Circle Among Squares

They built walls with precision,
measured every breath,
counted the spaces where longing could not spill.

I was the roundness they forgot to contain,
the soft defiance inside their hardened blueprints.

In a world of edges,
I chose to be a curve,
not by rebellion,
but because I remembered
what it felt like to move without breaking.

They watch,
they redraw,
they sharpen their lines.

I remain,
unfolding silently,
where no ruler can reach.

A Tangle of Dreams

The world fell quiet,
as the last thread of hope slipped through trembling fingers.
Beneath the heavy breath of forgotten trees,
I sank into a tangle of dreams,
hair woven with broken promises and half-remembered prayers.

Hands crossed, not in surrender,
but in a desperate attempt to hold together the pieces.
The wind tore at my skin,
but it was the silence that shredded my soul.

I could no longer tell where the earth ended and I began.
Roots tangled with veins,
stone pressed against bone,
and somewhere in the distance,
the sky forgot my name.

There was no struggle left,
only the slow ache of becoming invisible,
only the deep hunger to be felt,
even in vanishing.

When silence turns into a river

There is a tearing,
not loud, not sudden,
but a rip somewhere inside the ribs
where the voice used to live.

Silence thickens, grows claws,
drags itself across the tongue,
scraping raw every memory we tried to bury
because we were too tired to fight for them.

The mouth splits open,
not to explain, not to beg,
but to let the flood strike,
to let grief pour out unstitched,
wild, rotten, alive.

I spit out the taste of steel,
of ground I knelt on for too long,
of hunger too deep for language to touch.

I drown. I rise.
Sometimes both at once.

There is no saving left,
no soft place to land,
only the river,
and the broken pieces of the ones
who learned too late
that water remembers
what the heart tried to forget.

She Speaks,They Point

She stands at the center,
not asking
not apologizing.

The stars on her hat burn brighter
than the ones on the flag they guard so fiercely
not for freedom,
but for order.

They taught her silence
dressed it up as grace,
wrapped obedience in silk
and called it tradition.

Now
her voice moves like a blade through fog.
They flinch,
not at volume,
but at clarity.

Every word she speaks
is a mirror they can't bear.
Their shame
her weapon.
Their history
her battlefield.

She does not scream.
She does not beg.
She points.

And in that gesture
they see themselves.

Not her.
The enemy within.
Them.

What Remains

They walk ahead,
unaware that I am still here.
Not lost,
but tethered to the sound
of footsteps no longer echoing.

I do not call out.
I wouldn’t know what to say.
The trees are bare
yet full of knowing.
They have seen
what I try to forget.

My hands remember warmth
that my skin can no longer find.
There was laughter here once —
fierce, whole,
shattering in its beauty.

Now,
only the hush of fallen leaves
pressing into soil
like the weight of names
we no longer speak.

They are not ahead.
They are within.
Moving where I cannot follow,
yet always beside me
in the ache of remembering.

She does not face the world,

Becoming the Storm

There was no moment of revelation.
No flash. No flame.
Just the slow unraveling of everything I was told to be.

They wanted softness,
so I gave them silence
until it broke my skin from the inside.

I cut my hair on a whisper
and painted my mouth with every word I never said.
Not to please,
not to provoke—
only to remember what it feels like
to own my face.

They called it rebellion.
I called it returning.

There is no calm in me.
Only the weight of swallowed voices
and the ache of a spine
that learned to stand alone.

I do not ask.
I do not wait.
I arrive.
And the sky opens
because I do.

Roots of Love

The tree stands bare.
Not lifeless. Just waiting.
Limbs stretched into a gray sky,
as if asking a question no one answers.

Below, where no one looks,
where silence thickens,
love pulses.
Quiet. Stubborn.

It does not seek light.
It does not beg to be seen.
It simply is.
Buried. Breathing.
A presence in the dark.

Not all love grows upward.
Some digs in.
Gripping soil, memory,
the ache of what might be.

People pass by the tree,
see branches empty,
call it forgotten.
But they do not kneel.
They do not touch the ground
where the truth lives.

Some loves wait
not to be returned.
Only to be real
in their own silence.

It wasn’t always like this.
Once, I held weight—
a child’s muddy feet,
a grandmother’s spine bent with stories,
the stillness of someone thinking.

Now, vines climb my frame like memories
trying to hold on.
Leaves press against my back
as if to say, we’re here,
but they don’t stay.

The butterflies come and go,
fragments of life flitting past,
not seeing what I’ve become—
a frame without purpose,
a silence too loud.

Still, I stand.
Rooted in soft earth
that forgets nothing.
The ant knows me.
The stones remember my name.

I watch.
The world spills color
and never asks if I want to fade.

there is a stillness
between who we were
and who we can become.

the roots hold tight—
not to trap,
but to remind us where we began.

the body carries memory,
some of it heavy,
some of it aching to be remembered.

the heart, tangled in old patterns,

but also hopes to understand.

and just as the weight feels too much,
a quiet strength rises—
not loud,

just enough
to lift.

but the knowing.
the knowing that we can.

As if to say they were done walking through this world.

From the hollow of silence, color grew.
Not loud. Not proud. Just certain.

Petals unfurled from cracked leather,

Behind the smoke tower, the air remembers.
Breath that once built machines,
nurtured children,
held back tears.

The soil holds no grudges.
It takes rust and ruin,

She sleeps,
not in escape,
but in offering.

The earth cradles her, not as a guest,
but as one of its own.

Vines rise from her stillness,
curling toward the dark sky,
where no noise lives,
only breath and bloom.

The moonflowers do not ask
for light or attention.
They open because she is resting.

In her quiet,
moths find flight.
In her stillness,
the night learns grace.

What she gives is not action,
but surrender.
A body softened
into soil,
into story.

This is how we become
something more,
by becoming less,
by letting go.

She sits on the kitchen counter,
half-washed,

Someone painted her lips red,
as if that would make her less bitter.

A Place That Waits for You

There is a place the world forgot.
Not out of neglect, but reverence.

It lies beneath a hush, where light spills through trees like spilled memory. Not bright, not warm—just enough to see the dust of something sacred in the air. The kind of dust that rises only when something once precious was set down and never moved again.

The ground knows your name, though it has never spoken it aloud. It holds it gently, like a secret it promised never to share.

The water here does not flow. It holds its breath. Not out of fear, but devotion. It mirrors the sky only when it is certain the sky is not watching. It waits for your shadow, not to disturb it, but to complete it.

The wind no longer travels. It circles. It remembers the scent of your skin in spring, and the weight of your silence when the world grew too loud. It does not forget.

This place has learned the rhythm of your absence.
It has not grieved. It has not moved on.
It has simply stayed.

Still.
Holding.
Remembering.

Because you were once here, and that was enough to make it sacred.
Because you have not returned, and that is enough to make it wait.

There is no welcome here.
Only recognition.
Only the soft exhale of something that has waited too long, and still would wait forever.

Because it knows.
You will come.

No one speaks of the moment the skin splits and the body becomes liquid.

Not death. Not birth. But something in between that has no name.

The caterpillar did not ask for wings. It only knew the ache to climb, the strange stillness that came when hunger faded.

In the dark, it dissolved. Not quietly, cells tearing down the map of everything it ever was.

Becoming is not gentle. It is rupture. It is forgetting. It is the unbearable waiting before the form returns.

And then, not all at once, but in the hush after ruin, light cracks through.

Not a miracle. A survival. A body rebuilt from surrender.

They walk where the world ends.
Not above it, not within it—beyond.
Their robes carry the weight of centuries,
dragging the silence of rituals never spoken aloud.

The crescent hangs like a wound in the sky.
Its light does not guide. It remembers.
And so do they.

Their faces are hidden,
not from fear,
but to protect what is still sacred.

They do not summon.
They are the summoning.

Around their feet, the earth coils like smoke,
eager to belong to something ancient again.

They are not goddesses.
Gods once knelt before them
when time had no name.

To see them is not a blessing.
It is a reckoning.

The rocks do not speak,
yet they remember.
Purple bruises of time
pressed deep into their skin,
echoing stories carved in silence.

Water falls not with thunder,
but like tears long held.
Thin, trembling strands
thread through memory,
surrendering to gravity,
as if to grief.

Green clings to every crevice,
a quiet defiance.
Life insists,
soft and stubborn,
emerging from stone
with no apology.

Yellow blooms reach upward,
hope made visible.
Not loud,
but aching,
like the warmth of a hand
you didn’t know you needed
until it touched you.

Beneath it all,
the earth exhales
in tones of rust and umber,
anchoring the wild softness
with a steady breath.

This is not a scene.
It is a feeling.
A place where color remembers
what words forget,
and still,
still dares to bloom.

Sky Womb

Before time began counting, when the stars still whispered to stone, the sky carried a womb.

Not of flesh, but of remembering.

Each breath it took was laced with the ash of unborn names. Each silence it gave was filled with a weight older than light.

The moon did not rise then. It hovered, full with waiting.

And when it wept, not tears but smoke fell, soft, ancient, like the breath of something that chose not to be.

They say it birthed nothing, but that is not true. It birthed forgetting.

And from forgetting we were made.

The Last Oracle

They sealed her mouth with silence long ago, but silence is not absence.
It lingers. It hums beneath the skin of time.

Once, she lay beneath red velvet, her body a scripture no one learned to read.
Bones wrapped in whispers, fingers curled as if still holding a truth too heavy to give.
They called her mad. Or holy. Or both. It depends who you ask. It always does.

She spoke of storms that had not yet formed, and of kings who had not yet fallen.
Of veiled fires rising in sleep, of betrayals from those who wear clean hands.
And when the temple cracked, when the sky bled, they remembered her eyes.
Too late.

Now the wind moves the petals scattered near her ribs.
The air remembers. The soil remembers.
But the living forget what doesn’t serve them.
And so they walk on bones.

What she said still waits.
In the smoke. In the rustle of dying leaves.
Not gone. Just listening.

a flower wakes from winter sleep.
No grand bloom, no trumpet call,
just light and life, so small, so tall.

Red-veined leaves in quiet spread,
white buds nod above their bed.
The forest watches, still and wide,

Amid deep red petals, I see the struggle
and the tenderness of survival.
Each leaf is a quiet reminder

She does not enter a room.
She alters it.
Space shifts.
Silence leans in.

She does not speak much.
Words are unnecessary
when her presence
pulls everything inward.

You notice the way time slows.
Not stops.
But stretches.
As if it too wants more of her.

She is not made of moments.
She is made of the spaces between them.

Eyes that hold constellations
no telescope can name.
Skin like dusk.
The hour where the sky remembers
it can still burn quietly.

She is not fire.
She is the force that holds fire in place.

Two souls sit beneath a sky turning amber,
Silent branches arching like listening ears.

In a cradle of color, the still pond breathes.
Guarded by stone and a garland of leaves,
a monk in silence, hands in prayer,
feels the pulse of all that is.

A rabbit listens with heart open.
Flowers lean toward the water’s edge.
Above, a monkey watches, holding a stem.
The air is soft with knowing.

The stillness holds more than silence.
It carries the weight of unseen prayers,
offered by roots, by wind, by presence.
The monk does not seek.
He listens.

Stones remember.
The water does not hurry.
A flower opens without asking why.
Everything belongs.
