Destruction

My poem for day 14 of Paul Brookes’ April poetry challenge. I used all three images, and you can see them here.

Destruction

There’s a pearl in the ocean,
a sunset on the water,
a ruin on the hillside.

The pearl is as may be,

the sunset will sink
into the arms of the sea,

but the ruin
will blister my eyes
forever.
